“The Beginning”
STYLE: Full colour dark anime / seinen manga. Hard cel shading with crushed black shadows, desaturated slate and ash base palette, single hot accent colour per page (crimson for demon beats, warm amber for the boys' banter). Heavy black gutters, thick inked panel borders, screentone texture over sky and stone. Blood is deep near-black red, never bright. CHARACTER LOCK: Pull the Face & Design Notes field from each linked character and match it exactly in every single panel. The four boys must be instantly distinguishable — Aaditiya = narrow fox face, spiky black hair, smirk, mole under right eye. Ansh = round face, thick low brows, blunt fringe, nose plaster, shortest. Aakash = long angular face, centre-parted long black hair, rectangular glasses, flat expression, tallest. Arav = soft square face, wavy swept-back brown hair with one crown curl, freckles, droopy kind eyes. Never swap hairstyles, eye shapes or accessories between them. No new dialogue may be added anywhere. PAGE 1 — THE PROLOGUE (5 panels) 1. Full-width splash: burning ruined city at night, demon silhouettes tearing through fleeing crowds. Crimson sky, black smoke. Narration box top-left: the world suffering from the attack of demons. 2. Wide low panel: a mountain of ash and rubble, a single torn human boot. Narration: 80% of humanity slaughtered. 3. Tall vertical panel on the right: the colossal wall seen from ground level, tiny survivors at its base, demons clawing uselessly at the outside face. Narration: the 20% living between the walls. 4. Thin four-slot strip: four demon silhouettes in descending size labelled by narration only — A, B, C, D. Largest silhouette crowned in red light, smallest hunched and grey. 5. Small closing panel: peaceful lit street inside the wall at dusk. Narration box in parentheses: humans living in peace, nobody knows how long. PAGE 2 — THE FOUR BOYS (7 panels) 1. Establishing shot: narrow inner-district alley, laundry lines, warm lantern light. The four boys meeting up, all four faces clearly visible and clearly different. 2. Close on Aaditiya, arms crossed, smirking, laugh lines. His "dirt like faces" line. 3. Reverse close on Ansh, thick brows slammed together, mouth wide, shouting. Speed lines behind him. 4. Two-shot, Aaditiya waving a dismissive hand at a fuming Ansh. 5. Split panel: Aakash flat and unimpressed on the left, Arav gently raising a hand on the right. Their calming lines. 6. Small beat panel: Aaditiya shrugging "Fine fine", Ansh still bristling and threatening him. Chibi-adjacent but keep the locked faces readable. 7. Bottom wide panel: Aakash pushes his glasses up, asking Ansh why he called everyone. Mood cools, palette drops toward blue. PAGE 3 — THE DEMON IN THE EAST DISTRICT (6 panels) 1. Close on Ansh, serious for the first time, delivering the captured D rank demon speech. Behind him a faint red glow bleeds in from off-panel. 2. Inset map panel: the walled city divided into five districts — East, North, South, West, Central. East district marked with a small red pin. Narration box only. 3. Wide panel: the caged wagon in shadow, chains, two crimson eye slits and nothing else readable. Keep the demon 90% silhouette. 4. Reaction panel: Aaditiya throwing his hands up in mock horror, Ansh genuinely jumping backwards with his shout. 5. Group panel: Arav, Aaditiya and Aakash laughing, Ansh red-faced denying he was scared. Warm light returns briefly. 6. Final wide panel: the four walking away toward the east district gate, backs to camera, long shadows, the red glow ahead of them. Aakash's "fun to see a demon" line and the group's Yes!! Bottom-right corner caption in parentheses: Next day.
“Four of a Kind”
Warm color palette for ordinary life scenes. Shifting to cool violet/blue tones in the final page to signal something supernatural approaching. Panel layouts: mostly grid for dialogue, one dramatic full-page for the chapter end. Character expressions should carry the humor — Aaditya always the most exaggerated.
